We are MATESI, Materiales Siderúrgicos S.A. , a Venezuelan company manufacturer of high quality Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI). We are strategically located at Zona Industrial Matanzas, Estado Bolivar in the southeastern region of Venezuela , on the right banks of the Orinoco River.

Our share holders are Tenaris, world leader in the manufacturing of seamless steel pipes which holds 50.2 % of the common stocks and SIDOR main steel producer in the country, with 49.8 %. We are an industrial concern with the support and trust of Techint Group of Companies.

Our mission is to manufacture Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) in a safe, efficient and effective way following environmental regulations and according to specifications and quality required by our customers.
