An efficient Iron Ore Transfer Station Vessel - located at Serpent's Mouth in the Atlantic Ocean, in front of the Orinoco River delta - has the capacity to store up to 180,000 tons and handle an annual transfer capacity of 6.5 million tons to export vessels which, added to its 320 kilometre rail road system, makes Ferrominera Venezuela's principal main domestic iron ore extraction company.
