CME Commodities & Minerals Enterprise Ltd. (CME) was founded in early 2004 by taking over from Industrial Equipment & Commerce (IEC) Ltd., a Swiss company, established in the early 80s as a product trader in the ferrous industry.  IEC continues to serve the non-ferrous industry.

CME's main office is located in Switzerland (Grafenstraase – 5 CH – 6304 Zug) with affiliates around the globe.

CME has signed long-term supply contracts with HBI and iron ore producers, as well as with steel mills around the world.  Besides HBI and iron ore, CME also is  trading in various other commodities, such as steel scrap, oil and petrochemical derivates.

The total value of CME's annual sales is in the high three-digit millions with an increasing trend. Clients are located in Asia, Europe and the USA.

CME's services also include consultancy, mining equipment, port handling equipment, and spare parts outsourcing for the mining industry.
